5 things you shouldn't say to a recent college graduate

This article came out of the latest Real Simple issue and made me laugh! People continue to ask/suggest to me 4 out of 5 of the items below. While I know they are just trying to be helpful, it can be incredibly stressful. So, if you are reading this and are going to interact with a soon-to-be college graduate, please think of another conversation starter. They will appreciate it.

1. "What can you do with that degree?"
2. "You should go to law school."
3. "Do you have a job lined up?"
4. "The economy has been bad before. You'll get through it."
5. "My fill-in-the-blank relative just got out of college, and she's doing great!"
