I´m feeling better this afternoon after sleeping most of the morning. yesterday we had another women´s group meeting where Adriana and I taught them English phrases that will be helpful for them when they begin to sell their products. An instructor also came to teach them sewing basics. Right now, these women make and sell jewelry, but they want to start knitting things like scarves and sweaters. Marketing the products is on hold right now until the women make more things to sell. We are also helping them register with the local government as an official club.

prayer requests:
-my host family, especially my dad. he asked me last week what kind of church I went to, which led me to ask him about what he believes. his family is Catholic but he told me he is an agnostic. the next night at dinner we started talking about beliefs again and it is evident that he has had some very bad experiences with Christians here in Peru, Catholics and Evangelicals. He is very skeptical of Christianity and basically believes that being a good person is enough. He is, to use the word, a good man, kind and generous and hard-working. Please pray that we can have more meaningful conversations, and when we do, I would be able to articulate in Spanish what the Holy Spirit leads me to say.
-my fellow volunteers. I am spending a lot of time with them and getting to know them better. Pray that God would draw them to Himself.
-that my health wouldn´t cause me to miss any more work.
-I would also like it if you would pray that my Spanish would coninue to improve. I don´t know what it is about that language, but to me it is so beautiful and I love hearing it all the time.

Thanks for reading and praying!
Em
