BlockquoteToday has been chill. i was supposed to research microfinance stuff in the properu office this morning but the power has been out all day, aka i cannot use the computer there. also, sorry for the lack of punctuaction and capitalization, some of the keyboards here are really different. it literally took me 5 minutes earlier to figure out how to do the at sign so i could sign into my email. anyways, so i have been researching on my own today and met with lisbeth, my supervisor earlier who informed me that tomorrow i will be giving a 10 minute presentation on microfinance to a women in a community that we are visiting. i´m not too nervous, but actually kinda excited to share about something that i like and can hopefully help improve these women´s lives.
other than that, i´ve eaten breakfast and lunch at home and helped around the house. my host family owns a store and ice cream shop in the front of their house and when Rosi is cooking in the kitchen, ashley and i sometimes watch over the store. that means that when a customer walks in, we yell for Rosi to come and help them haha.
i have spanish tonight at 630. yesterdays class was so fun but challenging. my professors name is lily silvana and she is so nice! it was challenging because i had to describe so many things in spanish. she would give me a picture of a living room, for example, and then i would have to desribe what every item in the living room is for.
prayer requests...
-i found out that one of the other volunteers, katie, is a Christian, and she mentioned having a bible study together for the last 3 weeks she is here. maybe others will want to join it!
-my headache has pretty much left and i have had much more energy today. praise god!
-pray that my presentation would go well tomorrow and that the women i am sharing with will somehow see god´s love through me.

Thanks for reading and praying! God is good.

  1. hey love! i just caught up on your blog. i am so in awe of how good God is. he always listens and always provides... yet it always surprises me even though i know he will! we need to walk in the truth that he is faithful all the time and his word is true. i know you know that :) i am so excited that there are other christians there. praise God. i will be praying for your presentation tomorrow. what a great opportunity! hopefully everything we learned will come back. i know i would not know where to start! you should give dr.greene your blog link so she can be following you! love you and praying!
